Paid Downloads Pro is a plugin that allows you to sell digital content. The plugin automatically delivers the product (temporarily encrypted download link) to the customer after completed payment via PayPal, Payza/AlertPay, Skrill/Moneybookers, Authorize.Net, InterKassa 2.0. Front-end functionality

The best way to understand the idea of Paid Downloads Pro is to see a live preview. Please visit demo page or click on “Live Preview”. There the user can select the desired payment method and purchase a test/demo file. After successful payment, the user will receive a download link that is valid for 2 days (validity period is set by the administrator). The download link will be sent to the user’s PayPal, Payza/AlertPay or Skrill/Moneybookers email. If the user paid with Authorize.Net, InterKassa 2.0 or Liberty Reserve, the download link will be sent to the email address entered during the checkout process.

Installation

Install and activate the plugin as you do with other plugins. Once activated, it will create a “Paid Downloads” menu in the left column in the admin area.
Click the menu on the left “Paid Downloads >>> Settings” and make the required settings. Set the parameters of your payment gateways, notification email, successful and failed payment email templates, download link lifespan, etc. You can also customize the “Buy Now” button.
Click on the left menu “Paid Downloads >>> Files” and upload the files you want to sell. In this section you can also set the price for your files, view all payment transactions, generate and view temporary download links. You can also upload large files via FTP connection (upload them to folder) /wp-content/uploads/paid-downloads/files/) and assign them in this section.
Once the file has been uploaded, look in the “Short Code” column. This is a short code that you can insert in your posts or pages. The short code is as follows: [paiddownloads id="XXX"] (XXX – is an ID of the file). You can also extend this short code by adding the return_url parameter. For example, if you want to redirect your customers to “http://www.website.com/thank-you.html” page after successful payment, just enter the following short code: [paiddownloads id="XXX" return_url="http://www.website.com/thank-you.html"].
Go to a post/page edit page and insert the short code there. This short code is automatically replaced by the “Buy Now” button (or via a download link if the price is 0.00).
