Five and a half months ago, regardless of the next spring, I placed my lawn mower in the shed. Obviously I had to put a lot of other stuff in afterwards, as I had to spend almost an entire afternoon removing things just to get the mower out.
While I was working I made the decision never to store the mower in the middle of the shed again. In the process of cutting the grass, my mind began to consider songs that had the word Middle in their titles.
Here is a list of fifteen of these songs.
Crazy Middle Ages by Jerry Lee Lewis
It’s not as well-known as “Great Balls of Fire”, but no collection of rockabilly legend hits would be complete without this classic.
Stuck in the middle with you by the thief’s wheel
Gerry Rafferty has had more solo success, but this lasting success gave us a first glimpse of his talent.
River of Dreams (Middle of the Night) by Billy Joel
This title song served as proof that the Piano Man had returned to rock after his brief foray into the 1950s and early 1960s. An innocent man.
Piggy in the middle by the Rutles
Parodying the Fab Four in the mid-70s, these comedians ended up making a catchy album with Beatlesque songs like this one that sounds like “I Am the Walrus”.
Man in the Middle by Jack Johnson

The man in the middle by ABBA
This single did not have its due, having been stuck in the middle of chart tops such as “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo”.
Middle of the road by suitors
Chrissy Hynde and her rock outfit are still featured in this single.
In the middle of a dream by Muse
Arcana was the first album that spawned this tune, which represents the band’s grunge influence.
Mid America by Will Hoge

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World

Mid Summer by Panic At the Disco
The best time of year is at the center of this song by Brendon Urie’s rock band Pretty one. Odd. album.
In the middle of your heart by Melanie
After singing on roller skates and a new key, the folk singer again scored with this ballad.
Middle of Nowhere by Dusty Springfield
She went much further than this title suggests, having sung in other big hits like “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me”.
Middle of the night by the Kooks
These English alternative rockers have been making great songs like this for almost two decades.
College Dance by Foxygen
Few artists have taken part in this huge event in the lives of Tweens, and none have done so more creatively than this indie group.
