It was Vera Nazarian who said, “If Music is a Place — then Jazz is the City, Folk is the Wilderness, Rock is the Road, Classical is a Temple.”

Well, what do you know? I have chosen to go with the “city” and the “road” part. I guess these two are the most important part of a “mega-city”. Here’s what I’m talking about.

You see, over the past two years, I recorded a lot of music in my beloved tiny home studio: The Secret Room Studio… well, now you have a hint why the Album is titled so. Some songs were “jazzy” while others were more “rocky”.

While some compositions were written a long time ago and were re-arranged for the cause, others were written on the spot. I decided to release two different albums, a jazz, and a rock one.

The secret room sessions Album features 9 of my jazz fusion compositions recorded in that span of time. I already published All of them on YouTube, but YouTube as a nasty tendency to over-compress music that turned down the audio quality a lot. I also worked on the mix of most songs again to make them blend as a complete album instead of sounding good as individual songs.

Tracks like “Reggaecaster”, “Soupe Du Jour” and “A la Claire Funktaine” and some others that I embedded some devastating chord changes and structures to create layers and dimension to the Secret Room Sessions’ beauty.

I recently signed up to Distrokid to get my music distributed on all online music shops. Starting from the end of December you can listen to the entire album for free or download it for a $mall fee.

As you might know, a monthly registration to any of those music stores allows you to listen to every music you want for the price of your enrollment. The only thing you have to do is to look for my name: “Hervé Senni“, or the album name: “The Secret Room Sessions.”

If for any reason, you want to download any of the songs or the entire album, to have it in your offline activities, you can buy them off for a couple of dollars.
